updates from the weekend and whatnot...

Well...first i'll just briefly mention that my first week of work wasnt as painfull as I expected it to be. I do expect it to get a little bit more challenging and involved than just holing a survey rod and knocking over trees.

So this last weekend obviously the carmina quartet came up to winona and we had a pretty good concert I'd say. A lot of people were impressed, but i think we could have played better. there were only 18-19 people there, so I was a little dissapointed in the turnout, but we still made over $20 per person that came to the concert, so it was a steal. we just have $3,650 left to raise.

Other notes from the weekend:
-Star Wars III is a very good movie
-Campfires with friends at my place are still a lot of fun
-I dont think some people realized that this weekend was prolly the last weekend they'll see me until August

I'm also going to be going to Chicago next weekend with Matt, Doug, and Sarah. We're leaving on friday evening as soon as I get off of work and staying at Matt's Grandma's. Matt and I stay there last year and she's a cool old person. She stay's up until 1ish, sleeps in, cooks great food. I like her a lot. But, we'll be bumming around on saturday and going to a Cub's game on sunday at Wrigley Field. This is now the traditional thing that Matt and I do every summer (or at least I hope we do every summer) to actually see each other since we were best friends in high school. It works out great since both he and I are Cubs fans and love Wrigley. Sarah and Doug just asked if they could tag along this year and if it goes well, maybe Matt and I will ask 2 high school friends every year to join us. I'll keep ya'll informed as time goes on. The Cubs are playing the Rockies this weekend so hopefully they'll win and last time I looked at teh forcast for sunday, it was mostly sunny with a high of 67 and only a 20% chance of rain. *crosses fingers* I hope that holds up, because that would be absolutley awesome if that were to be the weather.

Well...I need to make lunch for tomorrow as well as do some other things, stay in touch everybody!
